Coral Gables Wedding

Have you guys ever been to Coral Gables? Have you ever been to a Coral Gables wedding? They’re pretty epic. In my last post, you saw Leo and Bill’s Islamorada elopement. They wanted an intimate ceremony with just parents and siblings, but knew that their extended family and friends also wanted to celebrate with them. So, the day after they eloped they drove to Coral Gables where Leo’s uncle hosted a huge backyard reception. It was amazing. First of all, I want to talk about the homemade mojitos that Leo’s family made. No, I don’t typically drink on the job, but yes, when a homemade mojito is staring at me for hours on end, I had to partake in one during dinner. Just the sip. HaHa! And then there was the most AMAZING authentic Cuban food I’ve ever had. Leo’s grandmother made the mini cuban sandwiches and I kid you not, my mouth is watering thinking about them. The decor was on pointe. The bamboo chairs paired perfectly with the backyard setup. Long feasting tables ran the length of the yard and candles and market lights adorned the tables and sky. But more important than the food. More important than those delicious mojitos. More important than the decor, was the people. It was the friends and family who gathered in support and celebration of this couple. It was one of the last events where Leo got to spend time with her amazing grandmother before she passed. A true matriarch of the family who lead with strong love. I want to say this to all future brides and grooms. Food, drinks, decor, dresses, suits and ties are all a part of a wedding. However, what matters are the people you surround yourself with and choose to invite in this celebration. I am SO grateful that I was able to be a part of this incredible wedding, but I am beyond grateful to have met the friends and family members who loved and supported Leo and Bill through one of life’s greatest adventures, Love. Here are some of my favorite photos from their Coral Gables Wedding.
