There is nothing better then getting to photograph a couple prior to their big day. I usually prefer to photograph my clients in nature. The time of year really doesn’t matter however, living in Florida I do enjoy the cooler months. Actually, slight confession, my absolute favorite time of year and location to shoot is a fall engagement session up in New England. This fall I got to travel up to Portland Maine to photograph Norissa and Matt. The plan was to shoot in Portland however the weather started getting questionable mid day. Should we shoot? Should we cancel? We called it off, we called it back on. It was a back and forth until finally the sun broke and we decided that we were going to head to the nearest nature preserve and just shoot. Well, Norissa couldn’t have suggested a better location, Saco Heath Preserve. Norissa runs a lifestyle and fashion blog so we were able to team up with two other companies, Ser Verde Shoes and Kini Bands, and incorporate them into this beautiful fall engagement session. At one point it did start to rain, but after a few minutes it quieted down and we had the most beautiful sky. Matt was an awesome sport as we had him in most of the photos, and then we would kick him out when we started shooting the products. Matt, thank you for being a good sport and putting up with us girls. And I want to thank both Norissa and Matt for letting me capture you two. Im SO excited for your wedding next Fall. Here are some of my favorites from their afternoon.
